👀 How To Build a Web3 Identity Tech Stack
A Note From The Editor
The W3G Podcast’s first season came to a close this week with a momentous episode featuring a conversation with none other than Myosin Co-Founder Sean Clayton.
The pod team calls the conversation “vulnerable, delightful, and mind-expanding” and I have to agree. It’s also frankly an exciting listen for many members of the DAO, as the nature of Sean’s work means he rarely interfaces with many of us.
More on the podcast below, as well as Chevy’s intro to the latest long read from the Content Guild: a second piece from recent London School of Economics graduate Sam McCarthy.
This time he focuses on decentralized identities (DIDs) and the state of web3 identity more broadly, while also providing some insight into Myosin’s own approach to digital identity. At time of writing this editor actually finds himself in London, so I am off to raise a pint to Sam and his writing in person.
Cheers!

How To Build a Web3 Identity Tech Stack
One document, one piece of technology - one ‘thing’ to prove our identity anywhere in both the physical and digital world.
It’s a hell of a concept! Only problem is, up until recently, the only clear path to such a reality has been the route marked ‘centralized world government.’
…we’ll just come right out and say it: that’s a little too Orwellian for our palate (bold, we know).
Web3 offers another path - one where those same identities are our own, hosted and verified by decentralized systems that are controlled by no one.
So how do we collectively create that reality? We can’t speak for everyone - but here’s the Web3 identity tech stack we’re using at Myosin:
Station (for reputation tracking)
Specifically, Station’s GroupOS, which allows us to distribute dynamic NFTs to each of our members.
Are they part of a guild? Actively contributing? Are they a guild lead? All of this is updated and reflected in the NFT’s metadata, in real time.Charmverse (for collaboration)
What’s Charmverse? Think ‘the Web3 version of Notion.’ Token gated access, in-app voting, bounties, rewards - it’s all logged and handled with Charmverse!
We use it extensively for our internal operations, to work with clients and customers, and as one of their biggest power users - couldn’t recommend it enough.Fractal (for governance and operations)
Fractal is the cherry that sits on top of Station.
Because while Station allows us to link tokens to member identity and reputation, Fractal allows those identifiable entities to then form larger internet-native organizations and work together through composable structures, permissions, and transactions, such as voting and revenue sharing.
